The red poppy you always see on the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Always wonder what it means, yet still wearing it with pride. The battlefields of the wars were havoc. Guns and bombs, you would always think that nothing will ever grow in the scarred battlefield. But, the field poppy arose. And this was brought to the attention of John McCrae, a Canadian soldier who noticed the field poppies growing in the battle field. He made a poem to remember all those who fought in the war. Named "In Flanders Fields"
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
A couple years later, Moina Micheal saw this poem and made another poem, as a response to John Micheal. Entitled "We shall keep Faith"
Oh! you who sleep in Flanders Fields,
Sleep sweet - to rise anew!
We caught the torch you threw
And holding high, we keep the Faith
With All who died.
We cherish, too, the poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led;
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies,
But lends a lustre to the red
Of the flower that blooms above the dead
In Flanders Fields.
And now the Torch and Poppy Red
We wear in honor of our dead.
Fear not that ye have died for naught;
We'll teach the lesson that ye wrought
In Flanders Fields.
She said to herself that she would always were a red poppy on the eleventh day of the eleventh month to signify that she will remember those who have fallen in the war.

What is Creative Commons?
When a work is made, it is immediately protected by copyright according to law. This prevents other people from using any of your work. But, some people want other people to use their work. This is what creative commons is about. Creative commons is a free license you can put on your work to tell people to use it but with some restrictions like say they have to acknowledge you whenever they use your work. There are some other creative commons licenses that will add restriction on how you work can be used. These licenses include an option so that they can't make money off of your work. There is also a license that prevents people from altering your work and/or they have to share their new work with the same license as yours if they ever use your work. This is an alternative to the immediate copyright that is placed on your work. This allows people who want to be realized.
You can think of creative commons as an option to let people know that you want them to use their work so that they can get recognized. Creative Commons is not a rival to Copyright but rather, an alternative. Your work automatically gets protected by copyright and you can choose to leave it that way, or you can add a Creative Commons license so that you give people permission to use it but according to your preferences wether its not using it for money or not retouching it. All in all, Creative Commons is a way to get your work to be recognized when someone uses it.
And now, here are some pictures that have creative commons licenses which portray the word ********(note: the asterisks are not the exact number of letter in my word)
